HR and payroll software for security companies in Pakistan

Security companies deploy guards to banks, factories, offices, housing societies and events across many cities, usually on 12-hour shifts, often with short notice changes. HR has to know who is on post, pay overtime and relief duty correctly, and bill clients for the hours actually worked. StreamHCM brings guard deployment, attendance and payroll into one system.

The deployment problem

A guard's workplace is the client site, not the company office. Supervisors traditionally collect attendance by phone or on paper, relief guards cover absences without a record, and at month end HR reconstructs who worked where. That causes underpaid or overpaid guards, disputes with clients over billed hours and no reliable evidence when something goes wrong on a post.

StreamHCM records each client site as a location with its own posts and shifts. Guards check in from the mobile app with GPS at their assigned site, or on a device installed at the site, and supervisors see live who is on post and which posts are uncovered.

Features for guarding companies

  • Client sites and posts as locations, each with its own shift pattern.
  • GPS check-in restricted to the site's location, with photo capture where your policy needs it.
  • 12-hour day and night shifts and rotating patterns.
  • Relief and double-duty recorded and approved, so overtime is paid accurately.
  • Weapon licence, training and police verification documents stored per guard.
  • Site-wise attendance reports to support client billing.
  • Uniform and equipment issued to each guard recorded as assets.

Payroll for guards

Guard payroll often includes a basic wage, overtime for extra duty, site or duty allowances and deductions for advances or uniforms where agreed. StreamHCM calculates these from approved attendance and because each city office is a branch, pay can be reviewed against the minimum wage of the province where the guard works: Sindh's rate for Karachi, Punjab's for Lahore. Salaries can be disbursed by bank transfer with a payslip in the app.

Pakistani payroll compliance built in

Payroll in StreamHCM includes the statutory items Pakistani employers deal with every month: FBR salary tax withheld under Section 149 using the Tax Year 2027 slabs, EOBI at 5% employer and 1% employee of the notified minimum wage, and provincial social security such as PESSI in Punjab or SESSI in Sindh, set per branch. Rates are settings rather than spreadsheet formulas, so when a new notification arrives payroll is updated once and every later run uses it, while finalised payslips stay exactly as they were paid.

Billing clients on real hours

Because attendance is recorded per site and post, the same data that pays guards can support client invoices. Site-wise reports show hours covered, overtime and gaps, which helps resolve billing questions and shows clients the coverage they paid for.

Supervisors in the field

Area supervisors use the app to see their sites, approve relief duty and leave, and record incidents or post visits. HR and operations managers see the whole deployment in one dashboard, across cities.

Implementing StreamHCM in a guarding company

Start by entering client sites and posts with their locations, then assign guards and shift patterns. Run GPS check-in at a few sites first, with supervisors trained on approvals for relief duty. After a month of parallel payroll, extend to all sites and add licence and verification tracking. Each city office can be a branch with its own minimum wage and social security settings.

Contracts, uniforms and deductions

Deductions from guards' wages, for example for uniforms or advances, must follow the applicable wage law and the guard's contract. StreamHCM records each deduction with its reason and approval, shows it on the payslip and keeps the history, which helps when a guard or a labour inspector asks how net pay was calculated.

Handling high turnover

Guarding companies hire and replace guards constantly. Bulk onboarding, document checklists that must be complete before deployment, and fast final settlement for leavers reduce the administrative load. Turnover reports by site and supervisor show where guards are leaving fastest.

Guards' payslips on their phones

Guards often work far from the head office and rarely see HR. With payslips, leave balances and attendance in the app, they can check their pay and apply for leave without travelling to the office, and supervisors spend less time relaying questions.
