HR and payroll software for companies in Multan

Multan is the commercial centre of southern Punjab: textile and ginning units, fertiliser and agri-input distributors, mango and cotton traders, hospitals, universities and schools, and a growing number of regional offices for national companies. StreamHCM gives them one cloud system for attendance, leave and payroll.

Running HR from Multan across south Punjab

Many Multan businesses are hubs for a wider region. A distributor might have warehouses in Khanewal and Vehari and salesmen across the division; a hospital group may run clinics in surrounding districts. The HR office in Multan then spends most of the month collecting attendance and leave data from places it cannot see.

StreamHCM fixes that with branch-level setup and mobile check-in. Field staff mark attendance on the app with location, branch devices sync punches to the cloud, and managers approve leave and overtime from their phones. HR sees every branch in one dashboard and runs one payroll.

Punjab payroll compliance for Multan employers

Companies in Multan fall under Punjab's provincial labour framework, so payroll has three statutory layers to get right every month. The first is EOBI, a federal scheme: the employer pays 5% and the employee 1% of the notified minimum wage, not of actual gross pay. With the federal minimum wage of Rs 40,700 from 1 July 2026, EOBI's own circular puts that at Rs 2,035 employer and Rs 407 employee per insured person, due by the 15th of the following month.

The second is PESSI, the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution. The employer contributes 6% of wages for covered workers and may not recover it from the employee. A Punjab notification of February 2026 fixed the monthly wage ceiling for contribution at Rs 40,000, so the contribution for a covered worker does not rise above that wage base. The third is FBR salary income tax under Section 149, withheld monthly from the annualised salary using the Tax Year 2027 slabs.

Punjab also consolidated many labour statutes into the Punjab Labour Code 2026. Its transition provisions keep earlier notifications, such as the minimum wage of Rs 40,000 a month notified for 2025-26, in force until they are replaced, so HR teams should check the Labour Department's site before each budget cycle. StreamHCM keeps these rates as configurable payroll settings, so a new notification is a settings change rather than a spreadsheet rebuild.

Seasonal and agricultural workforces

Ginning and agri-processing businesses often hire seasonally. StreamHCM handles fixed-term joiners and leavers without losing history: each worker's record, attendance and pay stays on file, so rehiring next season is quick and final settlement at the end of a season is calculated from actual attendance.

  • Fixed-term and seasonal contracts with start and end dates.

  • Daily-wage and monthly-salaried staff in the same payroll.

  • Overtime during peak season with approval before it reaches payroll.

  • Branch-wise attendance and cost reports.

Typical Multan HR scenarios

Multan's economy mixes agriculture and agro-processing, textiles, fertiliser and chemicals, trading, education and healthcare. Seasonal work is common in agro-businesses, with workforce numbers rising during harvest and processing seasons. StreamHCM lets you add seasonal staff in bulk, assign them shifts and end their contracts with final settlement when the season closes.

Distribution companies headquartered in Multan often cover south Punjab with sales and delivery teams. GPS check-in, territory-based reporting and app-based expense claims keep these teams visible without them returning to the office every day.

As in the rest of Punjab, employers apply the provincial minimum wage, PESSI for covered workers, EOBI and FBR salary tax. StreamHCM includes all four in payroll.

Branches across south Punjab

Multan-based companies often run branches or depots in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sahiwal. Each can be set up as a branch with its own devices, shifts and holiday calendar, and head office sees attendance and payroll for all of them in one dashboard, without collecting spreadsheets from every location at month end.
